Castleville Tip: Color Level 10 Royal Buildings

Tip:
Use a Different Color for:
- Royal Buildings with Level 10
Some friends of mine had this great idea - coloring the Royal Buildings with a different color. Using the Design Mode, chose the paint (same place as the Move and Storage button) and start coloring your Royal Buildings with Level 10. Then, inform your friends about it - posting in a group or a page or simply changing the name of your kingdom for "Red Royal Lv 10", for example. Or "Not Red Royal lv10". Or say which color you want or do NOT want to be tended. Check the images below:

Castleville: Laboratory Glitch - Have More Than 1

Glitch: Build more than 1 Laboratory

You would think that this glitch would be applied to other crafting buildings, but I tried with the workshop and it doesn't workSo, let's build more than 1 laboratory:

NEWS: Crafting Glitch

There is a glitch going on for some:
Crafting in the lab iron bar for example. You open the kitchen and you can craft crystals, and so on.

Tip
This might be useful, you can build more than 1 laboratory, by keeping the existing 1 in your storage. After u build the next, then take out the first. However, after the goals, we don't really need that many labs, except for producing Alchemist Powders.

Castleville: Did You Get Golden Tree? When and How to

Have you seen this Golden Tree and wonder how to get it?

Golden Oak Tree is a reward from Rafael's quest Adventure Club (available for level 26).

This tree gives you 20 wood logs,
every 21 hours.
Each Lumber (Logging) Camps gives 5 logs, each.  Need space? Store one (or more) of them in your cellar. I only stored one because the BENCH to be crafted obliges that you have one of these buildings. Also, it is my way for checking how many wood planks do I own, in a very quick way, through the Workshop.

Castleville: How Can I Get Alchemist Powder?

Alchemist Powder

OPS!!! I am out of alchemist powder and now it is needed for quests.
Is this happening with you?
Then you visit neighbors, but this wanted item is not dropping.

Well, it looks like each time alchemist powder is dropping less and less during the visits to neighbors. Try the following:

After a long break (night sleep, for example) you'll receive 8 or 9 Alchemist Powder on the first 10 consecutive visits. Also, there is at least 1 energy drop (1 to 3 energy). This will repeat every eight (8) hours. Then, both alchemist powder and energy will drop greatly and sometimes you visit more than 10 neighbors and not even 1 alchemist powder and maybe no energy also.

Suggestion: Visit at the maximum 10 neighbors each time, every 8 hours

Castleville: Recover Your Chopped Tree or Stump

Did you get a chopped tree or only have the stump from that nice tree that decorates your kingdom?

Now you can use Flaming Grog!!! That restores your chopped trees and stumps.

This is sounding like a commercial add!!!!  ... LOL
Well, Zynga decided and very well to give the change to have our nice trees back and replaced the function for the Grog Flaming from "unwither crops" to "magically" save our trees (that wasn't working very well, or not really necessary).

CastleVille Tips: Tend or Not in Neighbors Kingdoms

What to TEND when visiting Neighbors?

Tend, ...                            or...         Not Tend
That is the question!!!!

When visiting neighbors the most important is helping them. So, keep an eye out for the signs that say "tend here" and "Don't tend here".  If you do pay attention, they will notice you more and hopefully do the same for you.

When familiar with the items that takes more time, you can tend those buildings and speeding the crafting process by HOURS.

Apply to be a staff member in the Royal building, when needed. Royal buildings are the highest reward in a neighbor kingdom. As more often tended these buildings get  higher levels and higher rewards for everyone.

Sometimes you are visiting neighbors as a requirement from quests. Then, you need to look for what you need to tend (an animal, specific crops, etc..)

When you have doubts what to tend, your neighbor will be always happy if you tend their animals, and you should give priority for the animals that take longer time to grow, as baby peacocks and baby geese. Also, cow and chicken is always nice, for energy crafting.

DON'T
Please don't mine rocks, You can get a Mining Camp early on that lets you produce stones, plus you can ask neighbors for stone blocks, which should take care of all your stone needs. Once you destroy a rock, that rock costs 1000 coins to replace. So please do your mining on your own (or on neighbors not playing).

CastleVille Tips: 50% Bonus Crop Speed

How can you get a 50% bonus crop speed?

This is especially useful for those who need more coins, want to level up or you just need crops to be harvest quicker (for example for completing a quest).

There are two main methods: 1) using rivers, 2) using pumps:
Method 1: with rivers
To get 50% crop bonus speed, set up as shown in the picture Method 1. Make sure the river is a "solid" river. If you place two river sections a square apart, they will LOOK like a connected river, but there's really a space in between that doesn't COUNT as a river tile for irrigation purposes.

You can experiment with it yourself. The growth time goes down by 10%, 15%, 20%, 25% and so on all the way up to 50%, depending on how much water you have around your crops.

For a limited time, you can gift river sections. Gift them to your buddies, and if they autogift you back, you get lots!

Method 2: with pumps, more crops in less space
Another method is the picture 2, after unlocking the pump. When you move your crops you can see which speed will apply to that crop in that place. This method demands less space use and the results are easier to reach. Below it is shown the message that pops up when you move a crop, this is still in a construction for this method and it is tried a combination rivers and pumps.

Tips: Keeping Castleville Beasties Away

"OH NO! Looks like a beastie has your kingdom locked down!"
What is this here? Beasties as pets?
No!!! This is a TRICK to have beasties AWAY!

Lock your beasties up, before they lock you!

Beasties pop up all time (thief beasties when collecting houses, wolves when feeding animals, rats when you harvest your crops, or just because the quest wants to) and lock your kingdom.

How can I lock my beasties away?

You should summon the maximum beasties, and depending of your level there is a different  max beastie limit. When you reach the maximum beastie limit, there will be a notification like this:
  • 3 Gloom Potions - choose a more convenient for you and you can buy in the market with heart points or crafting in your Workshop
  • Have a spot in your kingdom with no important items around and any kind of fences around
  • Move your avatar into position in the chosen spot
  • Go to your inventory and use the 3 Gloom Potions
You should summon the maximum beasties, and depending of your level there is a different  max beastie limit. When you reach the maximum beastie limit, you won't be able to summon more beasties.
Now that you reached the maximum beastie limit, it won't show up more beasties, except if you are exploring a new area - there it will always contain beastie, as it happens in the Alistair's area, or Sonja treasure chest's area. Gladly those beasties only blocked items in the new areas, so it is not a big assole. Another exception is some quests will pop up more beasties above this limit.
If you need a beastie for a quest though, then you need to banish one of the beasties locked up.
Suggestions:
  • The suggestion is to use the Gloom rat potion first, since it only costs 5 hearts, and you can banish gloom rats easily with 3 clicks / 1 wood club. Also rats take up less space.
  • Use Keep Off signs to keep your beasties safe.

Quick guide to get the most out of your game time

  1. Add as many neighbors as you can - Neighbors can be a great source of materials (when you harvest materials in a neighbors both of you get the rewards) this is a great way to save energy and build a stockpile of wood or stones
  2. Have as many crafting building as possible. I run all my crafting buildings with exploration crystals while im away and use my play time to make the shorter times crafts.
  3. [SPACE] you can never have enough of it. What i do is move all my trees to as little area as is possible as well as my rocks. Don't forget to move your harvesting buildings close by for the bonus
  4. Let your friends do it! Explains itself but i almost never feed my animals. my friends do it for me. the same goes for buildings and materials.
  5. Get your NEWBIES bonuses!
  6. Bonus! Irrigation,Courtyard, Trees and rocks.
  • Make sure to place your items in the bonus area .
  • Buildings on courtyard get 15 more coins when harvested.
  • You can get up to 20% faster crop yield if your plots are between two sets of water (I've seen 25% but i have not been able to duplicate it)
  • Harvesters (tree and rock) can get a 50% bonus

Don't be afraid to ask someone to help you out.
